Hello and welcome, thanks for getting in touch :)

In regards to your question, I would say there is consistently four active editors that regularly contribute to building this wiki. This would be Will49, Lightning McQueen, JPDurzel and myself. All of whom have their unique set of attributes that keep this wiki up to date.

Whilst our active team is small in number, we've steadily grown this wiki since its inception in 2007. Our quality articles, particularly from the sport's early history score very highly in Google searches and are probably the most detailed and complex on the internet.

However we are still at the foot of the mountain in regards to the wiki's development. We certainly need many more editors to speed up development. So whether you can contribute text articles, statistics, tables, images, references, editing then we would certainly appreciate your contribution.

To start, just poke around and get a feel for things. At the top of the page, where it says "Explore", pull down to "Random page" and select it. Just read whatever page comes up over, noticing how we do things. And keep an eye out for typo[vx/{s, and make some corrections as necessary. And after that, pick another page. And another. That's literally how I started to learn the Wiki language, over on another Wiki. Just fixing typos, and reading the source text.

After you've done that for a while (seriously, no rush on this), I recommend that you dive in, and create a page for a race that we haven't created yet. You might struggle, and not be able to finish it, but that's OK. Every little bit helps, and I learned a truckload when I first tried to create a race page. I recommend that you do a source code edit, and don't be afraid to copy-and-paste from similar pages. Just remember that it's not a pass/fail thing, and if you get stuck or have a problem, we're here to help.

And if you have questions, suggestions or ideas about pretty much anything, just shoot it out. We might not get right back, as some of us have outside lives, but we'll get there. In the mean time, welcome to the wiki, and I hope you have fun reading what's here. And feel free to call me Will. Will49 (talk) 10:23, November 28, 2017 (UTC)
