The Toyota RVX-07 was a V8 2L naturally-aspirated engine created in 2007 by Toyota. It was used to power the Toyota TF107 and engines were also supplied, for the first time, to the Williams team for the Williams FW28 after the team made the switch from Cosworth engines.
Due to new regulations imposed by the FIA to limit changes to engines, the RVX-07 was essentially a modified version of its predecessor, the Toyota RVX-06. The company made only limited changes to the engine to bring it up to the current specifications that required a 19,000 RPM rev limit and to address some of the reliability issues experienced in 2006.
