About Formula One
Formula One, often referred to as F1 and Formula 1, is a form of open wheeled auto racing that began in 1950. Races, usually known as Grand Prix take place all around the world on purpose built circuits as well as temporary street circuits.
Many of the world's top car manufacturers compete in F1. The cars are capable of speeds up to around 360 km/h (225 mph), are turbocharged, and rev to up to 15000RPM.
The 2013 season received a global audience of 450 million people. Around 100,000 people attend each Grand Prix in person.
A Formula One race is typically 305 km (190 miles) in length and lasts around one and a half to two hours.

- MAX VERSTAPPEN (pictured right) WINS THE 2023 ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX. Charles Leclerc (pictured below right) and George Russell finished out the last podium of the 2023 season. Towards the conclusion of the race, Leclerc strategically opted to allow Sergio Pérez to overtake him, securing 2nd place. Perez had received a 5-second penalty earlier for a collision with Lando Norris, mitigating any threat to Leclerc's hold on the second position. Leclerc's intention was to contribute to Ferrari's position in the Constructor's championship by securing second place, although his plan ultimately did not succeed.
- MAX VERSTAPPEN WINS THE 2023 MEXICO CITY GRAND PRIX, with Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc completing the podium. Sergio Perez retired with damage after a Turn 1 incident with Charles Leclerc and Daniel Ricciardo took home points on his second race back, after finishing in P7, boosting Scuderia AlphaTauri to P8 in the Constructors Championship
- In a surprising turn of events at the 2023 MEXICO CITY GRAND PRIX, CHARLES LECLERC CLAIMED POLE POSITION, securing a front-row lockout for Ferrari with teammate Carlos Sainz in second place. Reigning world champion Max Verstappen, who had dominated practice sessions, had to settle for third place.
- Replicating the top-3 fastest times from the first practice session, Max Verstappen set the fastest time at the third practice session at the 2023 Mexico City Grand Prix. Second fastest Alex Albon was separated by less than a tenth of a second, and the local hero Sergio Pérez, a Mexican driver, in third place.
- Verstappen set the fastest time at the second practice session at the 2023 Mexico City Grand Prix. Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc set the second and third quickest times, respectively.
