Edward Everett "Teddy" Mayer (September 8, 1935 – January 30, 2009) was an American motor racing entrepreneur who was successful in several categories of racing, including Formula One and IndyCars. He was the brother of F1 driver Timmy Mayer.
He is best known for leading James Hunt to the 1976 title. Mayer was succeeded by Ron Dennis in 1980. He remained in the team as a joint managing director until he left the team in 1982.
In 1986, he returned to Formula One as a manager of the Lola team. He was the co-founder along with Carl Haas.
