Eric Sidney Watkins, OBE, FRCS (September 6, 1928 - September 12, 2012) commonly known within the Formula One fraternity as Professor Sid or simply Prof, was an English neurosurgeon.

As well as improving safety in Formula One, Watkins helped save the lives of many drivers, namely Martin Donnelly, Rubens Barrichello, Mika Häkkinen and Karl Wendlinger, and was rewarded for his services to the sport. He was a close personal friend of Ayrton Senna.

Until 2005, Watkins was the Medical Delegate for the FIA.
