Template:Grand Prix The Russian Grand Prix is a Formula One Grand Prix that has been held in Russia since 2014.
The first edition of Russian Grand Prix was in 1913, run on a road course near Saint Petersburg. After the 1914 event, the outbreak of war, and later the Russian Revolution prevented the event from being run again. But in conjunction with the preparations for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games, an agreement was reached to hold a race in the Russian city of Sochi (Со́чи). Starting from the 2014 edition, this race had been part of the calendar of Formula 1 World Championship.
Since 2014, the race has always been held on the Sochi Autodrom, around the venues used for the 2014 games. Every one of the eight races (through 2019) in history has been won by a Mercedes-related car.
