Romain Grosjean (RO-man GRO-sjon; born 17 April 1986 in Geneva, Canton of Geneva, Switzerland) is a French-Swiss Formula One driver who currently drives for Haas. In 2009, he competed for Renault, and drove for Lotus from 2012 to 2015.
He holds dual nationality, being Swiss, but uses a French racing license.
During the 2012 Belgian Grand Prix, Grosjean was involved in a multiple crash with Hamilton, Alonso and Pérez. Later, Grosjean received an one-race ban for the next race held in Italy, and was replaced by Lotus test and reserve driver Jérôme d'Ambrosio.
During his four seasons with Lotus, Grosjean scored a total of 10 podium finishes. At the 2013 United States Grand Prix, he finished in a career-best 2nd position, only six seconds behind race winner, Sebastian Vettel.
For 2016, Grosjean joined the newly formed Haas team alongside Esteban Gutiérrez. He scored his first points at the 2016 Australian Grand Prix by finishing sixth, making it the best debut for a team since Toyota at the 2002 Australian Grand Prix finished sixth. He continued a fifth-place finish at the next race in Bahrain. At his 100th Grand Prix at the 2016 United States Grand Prix, he finished in tenth place, starting from 17th.
