Rolf Stommelen (born 11 July 1943 – died 24 April 1983) was a German racing driver and a former Formula One driver who competed in the sport from 1969 to 1976, and again in 1978.
History[]
Stommelen started his Formula One career in 1969, but drove for a Formula Two entrant at the German Grand Prix. He started his career as a full-time Formula One driver in 1970 for Brabham, achieving a podium at the Austrian Grand Prix.
Stommelen was killed in a crash during an IMSA Camel GT event at Riverside International Raceway on 24 April 1983.
