The Renault RS23 was a V10 3.0L naturally-aspirated engine designed by Renault for the 2003 Formula One Season. It was used solely in the Renault R23.
The engine was an unconventional design, using a wide-angled 111° engine layout. The layout allowed for a lower center of gravity, improving the handling of the car. However, engine reliability suffered and it made the car heavier. The design was scrapped in 2004 when the team designed the engine's successor, the Renault RS24.
