The Red Bull RB16B was designed and constructed by the Austrian team, Red Bull Racing, for the 2021 season.
The car was powered by Honda engines, and was driven by Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez.
As the RB16 proved to be a good basis, being able to split the Mercedes' often and winning the final race in Abu Dhabi on pure pace previous year, the RB16B was mostly an evolution of the 2020 contender.
It proved to be a very quick car, being finally able to match Mercedes. It was still tricky to set-up and to get used as shown by Sergio Perez, but not as difficult as the RB16.
At the end of the season, this car helped Max claim his maiden FIA Formula World Championship title. It finished second to Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Motorsport in the Constructor's championship. Sergio Perez finished 4th in the driver's championship, behind Valtteri Bottas in third.
