Portugal, officially the Portuguese Republic (Portuguese: República Portuguesa) is a country in Southwest Europe and the Atlantic Ocean, bordered entirely by Spain and the ocean. One of the least successful nations in Formula One, Portugal's main contribution is its race, the Portuguese Grand Prix, last held in 1996.
No teams from Portugal have entered F1, and the most successful of its five drivers is Tiago Monteiro, who scored a podium at the boycotted 2005 United States Grand Prix.
