Pierre Gasly is a French racing driver who is currently racing for AlphaTauri-Honda. He made his debut for Toro Rosso at the 2017 Malaysian Grand Prix, replacing Daniil Kvyat.[1] He did not compete at the United States Grand Prix, due to being scheduled in the final race of the 2017 Super Formula Championship,[2] although that race was cancelled due to bad weather. He returned at the Mexican Grand Prix.[3]
Gasly would be promoted to the full Red Bull Racing-Honda team ahead of the 2019 season, replacing Daniel Ricciardo after his move to Renault.[4] However, after a poor start to the season Gasly would lose his Red Bull seat to Alexander Albon, resulting in the Frenchman rejoining Toro Rosso from the 2019 Belgian Grand Prix, through to the end of the season.[5]
He took his maiden Formula One win at the 2020 Italian Grand Prix.
His car number is 10.[6]
