Phil Prew is a British engineer, currently with Mercedes. Prew came into F1 as a race engineer at McLaren, joining them in May 1997, firstly for David Coulthard, then Juan Pablo Montoya and finally Lewis Hamilton. In 2010, Prew became the new chief race engineer and has been one ever since.

In 2016, Prew made the move to Mercedes after 18 years at the British outfit, in a similar move to which Lewis Hamilton made.[1]
