Perry McCarthy (born March 3 1961) is a former British driver who entered in Andrea Moda in 1992. Over the course of his career, he suffered mistreatment from the team and their owner Andrea Sassetti. He later served as a brief test driver for Williams and Benetton and also participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. McCarthy would then be known as the first Stig in the Top Gear TV series.
