Driving for Maserati throughout his career, Marimón started 11 races, scoring two 3rd-place finishes and scored 8 17 points (the seventh of a point coming from sharing the fastest lap with six other drivers at his final race start, the 1954 British Grand Prix).

Death[]

Marimón was killed during a practice session for the 1954 German Grand Prix.

While traveling on a downward section of the track, he failed to turn on the sharp turn at the bottom of the incline. His car left the track and became airborne after striking a ditch. The car was then sent into a barrel roll after striking a tree.

The car landed upside-down, with Marimón trapped underneath. Marimón died track-side, shortly after being freed from the wreckage.
