Oliver "Ollie" Bearman (born 8 May 2005) is a British racing driver currently competing in the Formula 1 for Haas.

A member of the Ferrari Driver Academy since 2022, Bearman is a reserve driver for both Ferrari and Haas in 2024, substituting for Carlos Sainz Jr. in Saudi Arabia—making his Formula One debut—and for Kevin Magnussen in Azerbaijan and São Paulo, scoring points finishes in both. From 2025 onwards, he is set to compete for Haas alongside Esteban Ocon.

Career Overview

2024: Stand in appearances

He made his Formula One debut at the 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix for Ferrari, after main driver Carlos Sainz withdrew after being diagnosed with appendicitis. He finished seventh in the race, earning his first career Formula One points and becoming the youngest driver to score points on debut.[1]

Bearman is due to compete with Haas from the 2025 season onwards on a multi-year deal, coming after months of speculation that he would join the American outfit.[2] Bearman made an early debut for the Haas team in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, after regular driver Kevin Magnussen received a race ban. He qualified 11th and finished 10th to score one point, becoming the first driver in history to score points for two different teams in his first two races. Bearman would again deputize for Magnussen at the São Paulo Grand Prix, after Magnussen was feeling unwell. Bearman finish in 12th.

2025: First full-time year

Bearman's teammate for 2025 is set to be former Alpine driver Esteban Ocon.[3]
