Michael George Hartwell MacDowel (born 13 September 1932 and died 19 January 2016) was a British racing driver who raced in the 1957 French Grand Prix for the works Cooper team. He only raced 30 laps of the race, sharing his car with Jack Brabham, who had crashed on lap 4. The two drivers shared 7th place.

After Formula One he took a break from racing, later competing in hill climb events starting in 1968. In 1973 and 1974, he won the British Hill Climb Championship, setting the 1000 yard course record at the Shelsley Walsh Speed Hill Climb.
