Michael May (born 18 August 1934) is a former Swiss Formula One driver and engineer. He participated in four races during the 1961 Formula One Season, scoring no championship points. After his racing career, he turned to engineering, working with Porsche and Ferrari.

He made his Formula One debut with Scuderia Colonia driving a Lotus at the 1961 Monaco Grand Prix. He started 13th on the grid, but retired after 42 laps due to a mechanical failure. He raced again at the 1961 French Grand Prix, where team owner Wolfgang Seidel also ran some practice laps in May's car. May finished 11th from 22nd on the grid.

May's racing career came to an end at the 1961 German Grand Prix, where he crashed during practice. He retired from racing after the accident, turning to engineering.

He helped develop a fuel injection system for Porsche and Ferrari and is generally attributed with introducing the first manipulated elevated wing onto a racing car on the Porsche 550. He was also involved in the designing of various engines, most notably the Jaguar V-12 HE engine.
