The Mercedes F1 W03 was the car which Mercedes Grand Prix competed in the 2012 Formula One season. It was driven by Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg.
At the Chinese Grand Prix, Nico Rosberg took Mercedes' first pole position and win since the 1955 Italian Grand Prix.
Schumacher originally achieved his first pole position at the Monaco Grand Prix, but due to a grid penalty following the incident with Williams' Bruno Senna at the previous race in Spain, he was demoted to sixth on the grid. At the European Grand Prix, Schumacher finished third behind Lotus' Kimi Räikkönen (in second) and race winner Fernando Alonso of Ferrari.
Mercedes did not achieve any more podiums after the European Grand Prix, and at the second half of the season, Mercedes did not pick up a decent amount of points, having a streak of five races without a single points finish. Despite a seventh place from Schumacher in his final race at the Brazilian Grand Prix, Mercedes ended up finishing fifth in the Constructors' Championship.
Schumacher retired at the end of the 2012 season to be replaced by McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton.
