The Mercedes AMG F1 W08 EQ Power+ (originally known as the Mercedes F1 W08 Hybrid) is a car designed by Mercedes Grand Prix for the 2017 Formula One season. Their drivers are three-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas, who replaced the retired Nico Rosberg.

The car was unveiled testing at Silverstone on February 23, 2017. It made its competitive debut at the 2017 Australian Grand Prix, the first race of the 2017 season.

Season review

Following Nico Rosberg's retirement from Formula One, Mercedes were looking for a new driver to succeed the retiring German. On January 16, 2017 it was announced that Williams driver Valtteri Bottas would partner Lewis Hamilton for the 2017 season.

At the first race of the season, Hamilton snatched pole position from Sebastian Vettel and his team-mate, Bottas, but in the race he lost out a victory to Vettel. The second race at Shanghai turned into a Grand Slam for Hamilton as he took pole position, set the fastest lap and won the race.
