McGuire was a Formula One constructor that was founded by an Australian driver Brian McGuire. The team participated in one Grand Prix but failed to pre-qualify.
Brian McGuire first started the race in the Shellsport International Series as a private team with the Williams FW04. He entered the car in the non-championship event, 1976 BRDC International Trophy, and retired with an oil leak. He also entered the 1976 British Grand Prix but was listed as a reserve and never made it on the track. Next year, in 1977, McGuire made modifications to the Williams, and it was entered for the 1977 British Grand Prix as the McGuire BM1. However, this car was uncompetitive in pre-qualifying sessions on Wednesday and slower than all the other entrants except Mikko Kozarowitsky, who had an accident. McGuire failed to make it through the qualifying sessions on Thursday and Friday. Brian McGuire was killed during the Shellsport International Series race at Brands Hatch.
