Masahiro Hasemi (長谷見 昌弘 in Japanese) is a former Japanese Formula One driver who only competed in Japan in 1976 for Kojima Engineering, finishing 11th and last of the finishers. Following his brief venture into F1, Hasemi went on to win three JGTC titles in Japan, a Japanese Formula 2 championship, and took wins in the 1990 Macau Grand Prix (Touring Car class) and 1992 Daytona 24-Hour race.
Hasemi was credited with the fastest lap at his only Formula One Grand Prix. The Japanese driver's lap on 1:18.23, however, was actually recorded due to a measurement error on the part of the race organisers. The true fastest lap was a 1:19.97 by Jacques Laffite. Despite an official correction, many sources continued to record Hasemi as the holder of the fastest lap for a number of years.
