Malaysia is a country in the Malay Archipelago in south-east Asia. It is an oil-rich country, and a member of OPEC. The state-owned petroleum company, Petronas, has been a major sponsor in Formula One for the last two decades. The country has had only three drivers involved in Formula One and only Caterham F1 team that participated, also had hosted the Malaysian Grand Prix from 1999 to 2017.
