Qinghua Ma (马 青骅 in Chinese; born 25 December 1987 in Shanghai, China) is a Chinese racing driver who formerly worked as a testing and development driver for Caterham in the 2013 Formula One season. Ma joined the Malaysian team following one season testing at the (now defunct) HRT team. After 2013, he left Formula One to focus on other motorsports, currently racing for Formula E.[1]
Ma is the first Chinese driver to actively participate in a Formula One Grand Prix session, having first done so in Friday practice at the 2012 Italian Grand Prix. If he had earned a racing seat with the Caterham team, Ma would have become the first Chinese driver to compete in a Formula One Grand Prix.
