Johnny Roberts (born 31 May 1924 and died 26 July 1965) was an American racing driver, most well known for his achievements in NASCAR. He also entered the 1953 Indianapolis 500, but failed to qualify for the race.

His racing career began by chance in 1949. While at Reading Speedway in Pennsylvania, he discovered that one of the cars was in need of a driver. He volunteered to participate in the race, finishing in fifth position.

By 1953, he had made his way to NASCAR, making his debut at Daytona Beach. At the end of the season, he won the NASCAR National Sportsman Championship. He also won two championships in the NASCAR National Modified Series in 1960 and 1961. He retired from full-time racing in 1961.

However, he continued to race in lower-level events throughout the early 1960s. In 1965, he was asked to substitute for Bobby Ballentine, who was late arriving at the track. On the 7th lap, Roberts lost control of his car, crashing into another competitor and a fence. He died of head injuries.
