Johnnie Tolan (born 22 October 1917 and died 6 June 1986) was an American racecar driver. During his career, he entered seven Indianapolis 500 races between 1951 and 1959, managing to qualify for three of them. During this time, the Indianapolis 500 was part of the Formula One championship calendar.
Outside of F1, Tolan had success racing midget cars, small high-powered cars that often race on dirt oval circuits. In 1988, two years after his death, he was inducted into the National Midget Auto Racing Hall of Fame.
His racing career ended in 1964 after he suffered a back injury while racing at the Sydney Showgrounds in Australia.
