John McNicol (March 12, 1942 - July 31, 2001) was a South African racing driver who entered one Formula One championship race, the 1974 South African Grand Prix, driving a Lotus-Cosworth, but since his car was not available he withdrew.
McNicol was a competitive campaigner in the South African Championships during the late '60s and early 70s. He was murdered by intruders at his smallholding near Johannesburg in July 2001.
