Jody Egginton (born 28 January 1974) is an British person who works for the Toro Rosso team.
Jody began his career in motorsport with a one-year stint at the Tyrrell F1 team as a Junior Designer in 1996.
He then joined Xtrac and took up the position of Gearbox Design Engineer, before relocating to Germany to work for Opel Team Holzer as a Design, Race & Test Team Engineer, where he spent the next five years with the company.
Jody Egginton briefly joined Aston Martin Racing as a Race & Design Engineer returning to Formula 1 with Midland F1 as a Race Engineer. He spent five years with the Silverstone-based outfit, which was to become Spyker F1 Team, and eventually Force India F1 Team.
In 2010, Jody left Force India and joined the newly-formed Caterham F1 Racing as Chief Engineer. Two years later he was promoted to Operations Director, a position he held for another two years until he joined our team as its Head of Vehicle Performance in 2014. Three years later, Jody was promoted to Deputy Technical Director and afterwards to Technical Director.
Jody is English and married with two children. He spends his time working between our two factories in Faenza and Bicester, having overall Technical responsibility for all Technical & car performance activities.
