James Anthony "Jimmy" Murphy (September 12 1894 - September 15 1924) was a driver from the United States. During his brief career, he won the 1921 French Grand Prix and the 1922 Indianapolis 500, in the same car, no less and placed 3rd in the 1923 Monza. Murphy was killed during a dirt track race, three days after his 30th birthday. Murphy has the highest winning percentage of all Grand Prix/F1 drivers. .500 winning percentage....
