James Richard Davies (born 8 August 1929 and died 11 June 1966) was an American racecar driver who participated eight Indianapolis 500 races between 1950 and 1959. At the 1955 Indianapolis 500 he finished in third place, earning four points towards the Formula One championship.
He died when he was 36 years old, from injuries sustained when racing at Santa Fe Speedway in Chicago, Illinois, United States.
