James "Jim" Packard (born 23 September 1931 and died 1 October 1960) was an American racecar driver who participated in the USAC Championship Car series from 1958 until his death in 1960. He attempted to qualify for the 1959 and 1960 Indianapolis 500, which would have earned him results towards the Formula One championship. However, he was not able to qualify.

Packard was performing well in the 1960 USAC season. After a second-place finish at Langhorne Speedway, he won his first race at the Illinois State Fairgrounds Racetrack. He also finished in the top five at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds Racetrack later that year.

While racing in a midget car race on October 1, Packard was killed at the age of 28.
