Gerald F. "Jerry" Hoyt (born 29 January 1929 and died 11 July 1955) was an American racecar driver who participated in five Indianapolis 500 races between 1950 and 1955 when it was a part of the Formula One championship. Although he failed to ever complete the race distance, he did qualify for pole position in the 1955 Indianapolis 500.

Hoyt was killed in a crash while participating in a sprint car race in Oklahoma City. His car flipped over after colliding with a fence on the first lap of the race. He died in hospital the following day due to head injuries. He had been married only two weeks earlier.
