James Allison (born 21 February 1968) is an British person who works for the Mercedes team. In April 2021, Mercedes promoted Allison to a more senior position, Chief Technical Officer, so he can step back from the day-to-day operations and work on more strategic projects for the company.[1] In October 2021, it was announced that Allison will lead a collaborative effort with the Mercedes F1 Applied Sciences team and INEOS UK Team to prepare them for the international yacht sailing competition, the 37th America's Cup.
