Jyrki Juhani Järvilehto (Finnish:YUR-kee YAR-vee-LAY-toe, known as JJ Lehto (LAY-toe or LET-oh; born January 31, 1966 in Espoo, Greater Helsinki, Uusimaa, Finland) is a former Formula One racing driver who drove for Onyx, Scuderia Italia (Dallara), Sauber and Benetton during a 5 year career. Lehto scored his one and only career podium at the 1991 San Marino Grand Prix.
While driving in pre-season testing for Benetton in 1994, Lehto suffered severe neck injuries in a crash. He tried to return before fully recovering, but had little success, and was eventually released by the team.
During his racing career, Lehto also competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans on 10 occasions and secured class victories on 1995 and 2005.
In 2012, Lehto successfully appealed against a 2 years, 4 months jail sentence for negligent manslaughter as a result of a boating accident in which a friend was killed, since the evidence was inconclusive.
