India is a country in southern Asia. It is the worlds seventh largest country by area, and the second largest in population, with more than 1.2 billion people. India is also the worlds most populous republic. It is bordered by Pakistan, China, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and Bangladesh. It is a novice nation in Formula One, having produced two drivers: Karun Chandhok and Narain Karthikeyan. India has held the Indian Grand Prix on 3 occasions, but the race is not being held due to an ongoing tax dispute with the government of the state of Uttar Pradesh. One constructor, Force India, has originated from India, although in mid-2018, after coming out of administration, the constructor reentered the season with a British licence.
