Hubert Hahne (28 March 1935 – 24 April 2019) is a former German racing driver. He entered the German Grands Prix from 1966 to 1970, although two of them were run by him in a Formula Two car.


Formula One Career[]

1966[]

Hahne entered at the 1966 German Grand Prix at Nürburgring with a Tyrrell Matra MS5 powered by a 1-liter BRM L4 engine along with his teammate Jacky Ickx, who has the same car powered by a 1-liter Cosworth SCA L4 engine, which represents as Formula Two entries. At the start of the race, Hahne started at the back of the grid, but finished in 9th place.

1967[]

In 1967, Hahne brought his white Formula Two Lola T100 with a 2-liter BMW M10 L4 engine for the 1967 German Grand Prix at Nürburgring as he was classified as a Formula One entry. He retired on the 7th lap with suspension failure of his car.

1968[]

Hahne has returned to Formula One since 1968. He entered at the German Grand Prix for the 1968 season with his Lola T102 powered by a 1.6-liter BMW M12/1 L4 engine. Hahne qualified in 18th place, but finished in 10th on Sunday's race.

1969[]

Hahne has entered at the 1969 German Grand Prix with three BMW 269s alongside Gerhard Mitter and Dieter Quester as they represent as Formula Two entries. After Mitter's death, he, Quester, and Hans Herrmann had to withdraw before the race on Sunday.

1970[]

Hahne had his last race at 1970 German Grand Prix at Hockenheimring with a silver March 701, but he failed to qualify for the race alongside Brian Redman, Andrea de Adamich, and Silvio Moser who also didn't qualify.
