Horace Gould (born Horace Henry Twigg on September 20 1921, died November 4 1968) was a driver from the Bristol area of England. He entered a total of 18 Grands Prix in the 1950s, all of them as a privateer. Gould recorded two career points, from a fifth place at Silverstone in 1956. He was a larger-than-life character, and was often seen driving with a huge smile, because he loved it. He picked up the sobriquet of "Gonzalez of the West", after José Froilán González, because of similarities in their physiques, driving styles and outlooks on life.
After leaving F1, he continued to participate in local racing in England. He also ran "Gould's Garage", the entrant for his F1 drives. Gould died of a heart attack at the age of 47.
