Harald Ertl (August 31 1948 - April 7 1982) was an Austrian driver and motorsports journalist. He entered 28 races, driving in 19 of them, for Hesketh, Ensign and ATS. Ertl is best remembered as one of the four drivers who came to Niki Lauda's aid at the Nürburgring in 1976.

Ertl died in a light plane crash outside of Giessen, Germany, while on their way to an Easter holiday by the sea. His brother-in-law and niece also died in the crash, but his wife and son survived.
