Haas F1 Team are a racing team that entered the Formula One World Championship from 2016. The team, founded by NASCAR team owner, Gene Haas, submitted an entry to the FIA in 2014 and granted an F1 racing license in April of the same year. The team use Ferrari engines and Dallara chassis. It became the first American team since the failed attempt US F1 Team back in 2010.
The team's current drivers for 2022 are Mick Schumacher and Kevin Magnussen.
Due to conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the team decided to terminate their sponsorship deal with Uralkali and driver contract for Nikita Mazepin.[1] The decision was made amidst global pressure to condemn and boycott entities that could help fund Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Haas contracted their former driver, Kevin Magnussen, to replace Mazepin.[2]
