Haas F1 Team are a racing team that entered the Formula One World Championship from 2016. The team, founded by NASCAR team owner, Gene Haas, submitted an entry to the FIA in 2014 and granted an F1 racing license in April of the same year. The team use Ferrari engines and Dallara chassis.

Due to conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the team decided to terminate their sponsorship deal with Uralkali and driver contract for Nikita Mazepin.[1] The decision was made amidst global pressure to condemn and boycott entities that could help fund Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Haas contracted their former driver, Kevin Magnussen, to replace Mazepin.[2]

Their drivers for the 2024 season are Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hülkenberg

Their drivers for the 2025 season are Oliver Bearman and Esteban Ocon

Background[]

The Haas F1 team was founded in April of 2014 by industrialist Gene Haas. The team made its debut in 2016, making it the first American-led F1 team in three decades. Haas also co-owns a NASCAR team, Stewert-Haas Racing, which is based in the same facility as the F1 team. Guenther Steiner, former Team Principal of Haas, was very involved with Haas' initial entry to Formula 1, and he became their team principal from the start. Due to conflicts between Steiner and Haas, Guenther left the team as team principal in January of 2024, also leaving a series of court battles between the two.
