Norman Graham Hill (February 15 1929 - November 29 1975) was a British Formula One racing driver, who was World Driving Champion in 1962 and 1968. He was known as "Mr. Monaco" for winning the Monaco Grand Prix five times, in 1963, 1964, 1965, 1968 and 1969. He also won the 1966 Indianapolis 500, and the 1972 24 Hours of Le Mans, becoming the first and only man to date to accomplish the Triple Crown of Motorsport. He was the father of 1996 World Drivers' Champion Damon Hill.
Hill was killed in 1975 when an aeroplane he was piloting crashed in foggy conditions near Arkley Golf Course, North London. Also killed in the crash were five members of his racing team: driver Tony Brise, team manager Ray Brimble, designer Andy Smallman, and mechanics Tony Alcock and Terry Richards.
