Gordon Reid (born 11 August 1923 and died 20 April 1952) was an American racing driver who primarily raced in midget cars in the United States. He attempted to qualify for the 1951 Indianapolis 500, but was unsuccessful. He was killed in a racing accident the following year.
Originally born in Oregon, Reid moved to California to work in Hollywood movies. Turning to a career of racing in 1946, his most successful midget car season with in 1949. He continued to work in the film industry while racing.
At a sprint car race in Ohio, he lost control of his car and crashed over a barrier and into the crowd of people. The accident killed 3 spectators and injured more than 60 people. Reid, who was 28 years old at the time, was also killed.
