Ian Gordon Murray CBE (born June 18, 1946 in Durban, Union of South Africa) is a South African-born British designer of Formula One racing cars. He has designed cars for Brabham from 1969 to 1986, and for McLaren from 1987 to 1991, the former team in which he infamously designed the Brabham BT46B "fan car". Outside F1, Murray has also designed the record-breaking McLaren F1 sports car.
Murray established his own company, Gordon Murray Design in 2005, and has recently released the T.50 sports car, a "logical successor" to the McLaren F1 and an inspiration from the Brabham BT46B.
