George Fonder (born 22 June 1917 and died 14 June 1958) was an American racecar driver who participated in five Indianapolis 500 races while it was part of the Formula One championship. He attempted to qualify for races between 1950 and 1954, but only qualified for the 1952 Indianapolis 500, where he finished 15th.

In the 1954 Indianapolis 500, he failed to qualify, but replaced Len Duncan during the race. The car retired and he later also replaced Frank Armi to finish in 19th.

He was killed in a midget-car racing accident on 14 June 1958 at the age of 40 in his home state of Pennsylvania in the United States.
