In Saudi Arabia, Sainz underwent appendicitis surgery, replaced by reserve Oliver Bearman, who finished seventh, while Leclerc took third. At the Australian Grand Prix, a recovered Sainz won from second on the grid, leading Leclerc for Ferrari’s first 1-2 finish since 2022, aided by Verstappen’s retirement.
