The Ferrari 059/4 was a V6 1.6L turbocharged hybrid engine developed by Ferrari for the 2015 Formula One Season. In addition to being used in the works Ferrari SF15-T, it was also sold to Sauber for the Sauber C34.
In 2016, amidst tension between Toro Rosso and their engine supplier Renault, the engine was used in the Toro Rosso STR11 for the season. This was contrary to the other Ferrari customer teams Sauber and Haas, who were using current-spec engines in their cars. Special permission was required from the FIA to run the 2015 engine.
