The Ferrari 051 was a V10 3.0L naturally-aspirated engine developed by Ferrari at the start of the 2002 Formula One Season. The engine was used to power the Ferrari F2002 that season. It was also used in the Ferrari F2002B for the start of the 2003 Formula One Season.
Ferrari also supplied the engine to Sauber in 2003 for the Sauber C22, although Sauber rebadged the engine for Petronas as a Petronas 03A.
Ferrari started the 2002 season using the previous year's car and engine, introducing the Ferrari 051 at the 2002 Brazilian Grand Prix. At the first race, the new engine was only used by Michael Schumacher, but it was used by both Ferrari drivers in the remaining races of 2002. The team won both the World Drivers' Championship and World Constructors' Championship titles using this engine.
A B-spec of the engine was used for the first four rounds of the 2003 season. It was later replaced by the Ferrari 052, which powered the Ferrari F2003-GA to win both championship titles.
