Ernest Musser, who raced as Ernie McCoy, (born February 19th 1921 in Reading, Pennsylvania; died February 4th 2001 in Reading) was a United States driver who competed in the Formula One regulation Indianapolis 500 races in 1953 and 1954, driving Stevens and Kurtis Kraft cars respectively. Although he scored no points, McCoy was a classified finisher in both races.
In 1955, McCoy entered, but failed to qualify for, his third Indianapolis 500. He used a Templeton chassis for that attempt. He continued to run in sprint car events for a few years, but never again entered the 500, before retiring from driving and going into business.
