Dick Rathmann (born 6 January 1924 and died 1 February 2000) was an American racecar driver who participated in multiple Indianapolis 500 races between 1950 and 1964. His performances in 1950 and between 1956 and 1960 were counted towards the Formula One championship, including the two points he scored at the 1956 Indianapolis 500.

He qualified for pole position in the 1958 Indianapolis 500, but was involved in an accident involving 15 cars on the opening lap that took the life of Pat O'Connor. Rathmann became the first Indianapolis 500 pole sitter to complete no laps in the race.

Dick Rathmann (born James Rathmann) is the older brother of 1960 Indianapolis 500 winner Jim Rathmann (born Royal Richard Rathmann). In 1946, he switched names and ID with his younger brother to allow him to race while he was underage. While the change was supposed to be temporary, neither changed back to their original name.
