Daniil Vyacheslavovich Kvyat (Russian: Дании́л Вячесла́вович Квят; pronounced: kv-YAT; born 19 April 1994 in Ufa, Bashorotostan, Russia) is a Russian racing driver who will make his Formula One debut in the 2014 Formula One Season for the Toro Rosso-Renault team, alongside Jean-Éric Vergne. His car number is #26. Kvyat got his first opportunity to drive a Formula One car when he participated in the Young Driver Test for the same team during the 2013 season, in the U.S. and Brazil.
He made his Formula One début at the 2014 Australian Grand Prix. He qualified 8th and then made his first points finish by finishing 10th, but was later promoted to 9th after Daniel Ricciardo was disqualified. He made a new record for the youngest driver to score points at the age of 19 years and 324 days, breaking Sebastian Vettel's record by 19 years and 349 days.
At the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix, Red Bull announced that Vettel would be leaving the team, promoting Kvyat up to Red Bull.
